Welcome to a curated selection of my graphic design projects completed during my time at Niagara College. These works reflect my growth as a designer and my passion for combining creativity with purpose. Each project demonstrates my ability to problem-solve visually, think conceptually, and work with real-world constraints. I’ve included a mix of information design, editorial, web design, advertising, and mockups to show how I bring ideas to life through thoughtful design.
Canadian Stamp Project - Great Horned Owl
For this Canada Post stamp design project, I chose to represent Alberta’s provincial bird, the Great Horned Owl, a powerful symbol of Canada’s wild beauty and resilience. The goal was to create a collectible stamp, an official First Day postcard, and a booklet of eight stamps that could resonate with a global audience.
My final designs combine traditional and digital techniques. I created two distinct illustrations of the owl: one in detailed dotwork using ink on paper, and a second combining that dotwork with coloured pencil to add warmth and vibrancy. Both illustrations were digitized and refined in Adobe Illustrator, where I also designed a clean, modern background that complements the natural textures of the owl without overpowering them.
This project reflects my appreciation for handcrafted detail, as well as my ability to blend analog and digital media into a cohesive, professional presentation.
